This drawing was the very first large-scale project completed in my MSc program. It was drawn true-to-size using specialized measuring techniques. The emphasis was on high realism and creating a true-to-life image. Drawn directly from a human specimen provided by the Centre for Human Identification and Anatomy (CAHID) at the University of Dundee.

For our initial sketch, a technique called "haptic feedback" was used, in which one uses a soft charcoal and sketches the model without looking at it, as a way of "feeling" the textures and lines of the model.
